Leisure Village Golf: The Par-3 Course and Nearby Courses
By Tricia Garcia, Senior Real Estate & Inherited Home Specialist | Real Estate Toolbox | Updated November 2026
THE SHORT ANSWER
Leisure Village in Camarillo has its own 18-hole par-3 golf course that winds through the community, and it is one of the amenities your HOA dues help maintain. Two public courses, Camarillo Springs and Sterling Hills, are also in Camarillo if you want to play a full-length round.
The Golf Course Inside Leisure Village
The course runs through the grounds of the community, so many homes are a short drive or walk away. An 18-hole par-3 layout is shorter than a regular course. It suits a quick round before lunch, getting back into the game, or playing with friends you met in the neighborhood.
The Leisure Village Association lists the golf course among the community’s amenities, along with the pool, spa, fitness center, and courts. The Association also covers the course under its master insurance policy.
What to Ask Before You Play
- Current rules and any fees. Ask the Community Center at (805) 482-8961 or the Association Office at (805) 484-2861 about guest rules, carts, and any costs.
- Course closures. Parts of the course close for maintenance. In November 2026 the community calendar shows the front 9 closed until 10:30 on Thursdays and the back 9 closed until 10:30 on Fridays, so check before you head out.
- Leagues and groups. Leisure Village has more than 60 clubs and activity groups. See our guide to Leisure Village clubs and activities.
Buying a Home Near the Course
Some buyers want to be close to the course, and others would rather be near the Community Center or a quieter corner. Think about what you will use most, then tour at different times of day. Ask about stray balls and maintenance schedules if a home backs up to the course. The floor plans guide can help you narrow down the home itself.
