      Leisure Village is located in the city of Camarillo which is in the County of Ventura. It is off the coast of the Pacific Ocean between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara and accessibly convenient to the 101 freeway.

      Residents must be 55+, or any married couple, one of whom is 55 or over.

      The security at Leisure Village includes 24 hour guarded gates and patrol cars. Leisure Village is a secure community with access through three sentry-operated gates. Leisure Village provides a Safety and Security team overseen by a Chief of Security. In addition to security duties each Officer of the team is fully trained and certified as a First Responder for medical emergencies.

      With numerous activities and over 60 clubs and organizations, active adults are sure to find the perfect fit that meets their interests. Some of these include bocce ball, shuffleboard courts, pickle ball courts, golf club, wine club, photography and so much more. You can find a full list here.

      Some of the main amenities at Leisure Village are a Multi-Purpose Recreation Center, full-sized ball room and stage, an 18 hole golf course, walking and biking trails throughout the community, outdoor heated pool and spa patio. For a full list of amenities, click here.

      Your guests are welcome to use the common area facilities, when accompanied by the resident. Children within the ages 5-17 are allowed to use the pool between the hours of 12:00-2:00. Children under 14 years of age are not allowed in the spa, on the golf course or putting green.

      For safety reasons, the homes in the Leisure Village Community, are serviced with electric utilities. The service provider is Southern California Edison Company. Their information is as follows;  (800) 655-4555 or www.sce.com.

      There are a few transportation services available in Camarillo. Some of these include:

      Vista County Bus Service ( round-trip to the Oaks Mall)

      CAT shuttle (Vons, CVS, Ralphs, Trader Joe’s & Target shopping centers on Tuesdays)

      There is a CVS Pharmacy just outside of the Leisure Village entrance.

      Also, Mission Oaks Plaza is approximately one mile from the Main Gate off of Woodcreek Dr. In this shopping center you will find Vons grocery store and CVS Pharmacy.

      St. Johns Pleasant Valley Hospital is the closest hospital to Leisure Village. It is approximately four miles away. It is located at 2309 Antonio Ave, Camarillo, CA 93010.  Kaiser is located approximately 5 miles away.  There are also several medical facilities within a nearby radius.

      No, all homes are single story, electric appliances and wide hallways to allow for homeowners to enjoy their Leisure Village home for many years to come.

      There are 2,136 homes in Leisure Village that were built from 1973 to 1984. Most homes are duplexes, triplexes, and quads which have one to two car garages or a designated carport. There are some single family homes as well. There are 25 different home models that range in size from 672 to 1,829 square feet offering the perfect fit for you.

      Yes, friends and family are always welcome. Please notify the guard gate of your guests’ name and date they will be visiting with you.

      Yes, your guests may stay with you up to 3 months.

      Yes, as long as all tenants meet the 55+ age requirement and in compliance with the HOA rules and regulations.

      Yes, Leisure Village allows for two pets per household. When outside and in the community, pets are to be on a leash. Owners are responsible for picking up after their own pets.

      The monthly HOA fee covers: 24 hour guard gated community, Recreation Center, 18 hole golf course, security, water, sewer, trash cable TV, pool and spa maintenance, landscaping & exterior maintenance of your home and greenbelt areas, master insurance policy for fire, hazard, flood and earthquake.

      Yes, any interior modifications made are allowed at the homeowner’s expense.  Exterior modifications need to be approved by the HOA.

      Trash is picked up weekly on Fridays. Simply place the trash into the underground receptacle located at the front of the home. Recycles are picked up every other Friday and can be left in a bag near the trash receptacle.

      No solicitors or uninvited persons are allowed into the community.

      Yes, there are several banks nearby.  Bank of America is located just outside of the Leisure Village entrance. There is also a Wells Fargo and Chase Bank all within a mile.
